Jamdani
In 2013, the traditional art of weaving jamdani was declared a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. A fine muslin textile of Bengal, it is the only surviving variety of traditional muslins.
Jamdani is a woven fabric in cotton or silk. Featuring floral designs and geometric patterns, it gives the illusion of the designs floating on a shimmering surface - a specialty of Jamdani weaves.
Our Jamdani fabrics are made in Murshidabad near West Bengal.
